AKRON, Ohio — The Synthe6 Materials Accelerator is supporting a new cohort of polymer and materials science startups through funding, mentorship and business development programming at Bounce Innovation Hub.
The state-funded initiative provides selected companies with nondilutive funding, covered professional services and weekly instruction on topics ranging from accounting to intellectual property. Participants, all with an Ohio presence, represent a range of industries and business stages, from early-stage founders to more established ventures.
Program leaders say the accelerator is designed to address the longer timelines and specialized expertise required in materials science while reinforcing Akron’s role as a center for polymer innovation.
