YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Taylor-Winfield Technologies Inc. has purchased substantially all the assets of George A. Mitchell Co. of Boardman, the company announced today.
George A. Mitchell Co. has earned a global reputation for its high-performance push pointers, end forming machines and tooling for metal tube and pipe forming applications. Known for precision, durability and engineering excellence, Mitchell’s equipment has served critical roles across industries worldwide.

Mitchell technology allows us to preserve a respected legacy while adding a new line of products to the Taylor-Winfield Technologies in the tube and pipe industry,” said Donnie Wells, president of Taylor-Winfield. “We look forward to continuing to support George A. Mitchell Co.’s past customers as well as new opportunities with spare parts, service, new machines and enhanced automation.”
The late George A. Mitchell established the company in 1963 and pioneered improvements to “push-pointing” machines used to produce metal tube and bar products.

Taylor-Winfield designs and manufactures material joining equipment and automated assembly systems that are used worldwide. The company also manufactures resistance welding, induction heating, arc welding and laser welding systems.
