CHAMPION, Ohio – Trumbull Career & Technical Center will host a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of its new Industrial Technology, Career Exploration and Resource Center at 5 p.m. Sept. 10.
TCTC representatives call the center an investment in workforce development, student success and community partnerships.
Funded through the Appalachian Community Innovation Centers Grant, the new center represents a collaborative effort to expand career opportunities, improve access to essential support services and strengthen connections between education, employers and the community.
The Industrial Technology, Career Exploration and Resource Center will serve as a regional hub where students, families, job seekers and local businesses can access career exploration opportunities, workforce development resources and mental health support services. It’s designed to prepare learners for in-demand careers while supporting their overall well-being.
The community is invited to the ribbon cutting at the TCTC, 528 Educational Highway. Featured speakers will include Dominic Venetti, director of family preservation, Cadence Care; Kim Barrell, administrator, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and OhioMeansJobs; and Jason Gray, TCTC superintendent.
School administrators, community leaders, business partners and representatives from collaborating organizations will also be in attendance.
Following the ceremony, guests are invited to tour the new center, enjoy light refreshments and meet with project partners and school leadership to learn more about the programs and services that will be offered.
“This center represents more than a new building – it represents new opportunities,” Gray said. “By bringing together career exploration, workforce development and student support services under one roof, we are creating stronger pathways for students and families while helping meet the workforce needs of our region.”
