SHARON, Pa. – Leaders from Tenor Health Foundation and Penn-Northwest Development Corp. provided updates on the reopening and ongoing operations of Sharon Regional Medical Center, which resumed core services March 18.
Radha Savitala, CEO of Tenor Health Foundation, reported that more than 600 personnel, including contractors, are currently employed, and Medicare has approved the facility’s change of ownership, allowing billing and revenue cycles to begin.
Rod Wilt, executive director of Penn-Northwest, described the hospital’s financial support as the largest coordinated economic development effort in Mercer County history, with seven funding partners contributing approximately $9.2 million of an $11 million goal.
