WARREN, Ohio — The Grand Resort has been named the Best Resort in Ohio for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report, earning the top spot for the second year in a row.

The national recognition highlights the Warren-based resort’s continued investment in luxury amenities and its emphasis on high-quality service. A recent $1 million upgrade of all 132 guest rooms and suites enhanced its already expansive offerings.

The Grand Resort features include the Avalon Lakes Golf Course, a Pete Dye-designed course that has hosted eight LPGA tournaments; a 90-degree Roman Bath open year-round; indoor and outdoor pools; a cigar lounge with more than 200 varieties; and the Wine Cellar and Gatsby’s Restaurant, a Wine Spectator “Best Of Award of Excellence” winner since 2022.

Additional amenities include a full-service spa and medical spa, tennis and pickleball courts, and a recreation center with billiards, bocce, ping pong and video games.

Guests of The Grand Resort are also granted temporary membership to Avalon Golf and Country Club during their stay, providing access to three additional championship golf courses and a variety of dining and leisure options across four Avalon properties.

The resort caters to a wide range of guests, from vacationers and wedding parties to corporate groups and golfers.
