SHARON, Pa. – Acts theater will present an evening of songs that its performers have always wanted to sing.
“Acts Sings!” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 26-27, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28.
The theater is at the intersection of Irvine Avenue and East State Street, downtown. Performances will be in the 40 Below cabaret room in the lower level.
Every performer has songs they’ve always dreamed of singing but never got the chance. This production finally gives them that opportunity.

Septumpkin Festival at Ferris Farm
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Ferris Farm, 83 Ferris Road, will present its annual Septumpkin Fest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27.
The event will include several food trucks, vendors and wineries.
“Septumpkin Fest is all about fall and pumpkins and celebrating the season changing,” said Jeanice Ferris Britvich, whose family has run the century-old farmstead for more than 15 years. “We decided to provide festival events on the farm to help people to find ways to get back in touch with nature and community gatherings.”
The event also includes live music from noon to 3 p.m. with Sam Winterberger, a bounce house and plenty of pumpkins.
An Evening with Ray ‘Boom Boom’ Mancini
WARREN, Ohio – Boom Boom, Bourbon and More, a special dinner evening featuring Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini, will take place Thursday, Oct. 9, in the banquet room of Sunrise Inn, 510 E. Market St., starting at 6 p.m.
The boxing champion from Youngstown will share stories of his career from the ring and beyond. The evening will also include an Italian dinner, a bourbon cocktail, open bar and Ray’s Cigars.

Community Bike Ride, Safety Tips at Wick Park
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A free community bike ride, walk and safety training event will take place from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Wick Park, on the North Side.
The event is part of the Walk Wednesday walking series. Its goal is to encourage people to use the newly installed bike lanes in Youngstown. Walkers are also encouraged to participate in a walk through Wick Park’s exercise trail, a discussion about pedestrian safety and an opportunity to try out Wick Park’s exercise equipment.
Riders will receive a brief presentation on how to safely ride bikes, e-bikes or e-scooters in bike lanes, followed by a ride of 4.7 miles.
Riders and walkers will meet at 260 Park Ave., on the corner of Elm Street and Park Avenue.
Participants are asked to bring their own bike, e-bike or e-scooter to participate in the ride. YoGo Bikeshare e-bikes will also be available at no cost. Participants are encouraged to bring a helmet and water and wear brightly colored clothing and activity appropriate shoes.
The event is presented by Healthy Community Partnership, Thrive Mahoning Valley, YSU Guin Fit, YSU Campus Recreation, The Mercy Health Stepping Out Program and YoGo Bikeshare.
The event and other free outdoor walking classes are part of the Healthy Community Partnership’s Walk the Valley Initiative in partnership with Mercy Health’s Stepping Out Program.

Halloween Market and Pet Costume Show
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Café Rosé, 4491 Mahoning Ave., will present its annual Halloween Market from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.
Attendees can shop for the spooky season from a selection of unique gifts and seasonal decor from talented local artisans, crafters and bakers.
The Halloween Market will also feature a basket raffle. All funds raised from the basket raffle will directly support the Campbell Cruelty and Humane Rescue.
The highlight for many will be the Pawsitively Ghoulish Pet Costume Contest at 2 p.m. All pets are welcome to participate and show off their best Halloween looks. There is a suggested $5 donation to enter, with all proceeds benefiting the Campbell Cruelty and Humane Rescue. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative and spooky costumes.
Apple Butter Festival at Century Village
BURTON, Ohio – The Geauga County Historical Society’s Apple Butter Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 11 and 12 at the Geauga County Historical Society & Century Village Museum.
This annual celebration ushers in the autumn season, highlighting the age-old tradition of crafting homemade apple butter, bringing together local families and visitors alike. Attendees can expect a lively atmosphere filled with the aroma of simmering apples as skilled crafters demonstrate the making of apple butter.
The festival will feature artisan crafts, food and historical exhibits.
