YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Bayou Blue, which performs the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival and Linda Ronstadt, will come to  Penguin City Brewing’s concert venue at 7 p.m. Sept. 26.

Taylor Borton, a Nashville-based country music singer-songwriter who hails from Hubbard, will be the opening act. Her latest releases, “Dim A

Neon” and “Between You and Me,” showcase her traditional country sound.

Worship Without Walls at Austintown Park

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Worship Without Walls will take place from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at Austintown Township Park. 

It is a free nondenominational community worship event.

Outdoor summer worship gatherings have become increasingly popular throughout the region at venues such as Day Dream Farm Winery, Greene Eagle Winery and Lost Trail Winery. These events offer a refreshing way to worship God beyond the four walls of a church building.

The event aims to build relationships, strengthen the community and create an environment where people can experience God’s love in a relaxed and welcoming setting. 

Attendees spread out, and children will have room to play.

Bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets. The Totally 80s ice cream truck will be at the site.

The afternoon will feature eight local musicians.

Neil Diamond Experience at Robins Theatre

WARREN, Ohio – The Neil Diamond Experience, starring Robert Neary, will come to the Robins Theatre on Nov. 7 for a 7:30 p.m. show.

The show will feature 28 classic Diamond hits, with Neary also telling stories, and a Broadway-caliber finale.

Bus Tour of Underground Railroad Sites in Trumbull

WARREN, Ohio – The Trumbull County Historical Society’s biannual underground railroad bus tour will take place Sept. 5 and 12.

The two-hour tour will teach about the bravery of freedom seekers who sought the aid of local abolitionists and includes a behind-the-scenes tour of one of the historic properties. 

The tour will begin at the Trumbull County Tourism Bureau, 321 Mahoning Ave NW. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased HERE.

Tickets for Cleveland Orchestra Season

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Single tickets for the Cleveland Orchestra’s 2026-27 season at Severance Music Center, celebrating Franz Welser-Möst’s 25th and final year as music director, will go on sale Aug. 18. 

Throughout the season, audiences will experience many of the composers and works that have shaped his relationship with the orchestra, including Beethoven, Mahler and Richard Strauss, alongside rediscoveries, world premieres and works with deep ties to Cleveland.

State Awards Tax Credits to Film Projects

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Development has awarded nearly $3.7 million in tax credits to support four feature film projects taking place across the state.

The awards will be issued through the Motion Picture Tax Credit Program, which provides a refundable tax credit of 30 percent on production cast and crew wages and other eligible in-state spending for qualifying productions – including feature-length films, documentaries and miniseries.

The projects are expected to create 65 new jobs and more than $7.3 million in total payroll, with an estimated economic impact of nearly $9.7 million.

Projects being awarded are:

  • “Bonedriven,” Burton (Geauga County), $305,419.
  • “Crawler,” Lakewood (Cuyahoga County), $2,068,368.
  • “Joker’s Over Aces,” Lakewood (Cuyahoga County), $120,000.
  • “Jonah,” Cincinnati (Hamilton County), $1,183,095.

Diablo to Debut at Cedar Point

SANDUSKY, Ohio – This Halloween season, the dark forces of the Diablo universe will come to life at Cedar Point with the debut of Diablo: The Infernal Path, an all-new haunted maze inspired by the iconic video game franchise.
