The short, structured event consists of rounds of conversation centered around icebreaker prompts.

This month’s focus is a Craft Supply Exchange, allowing makers the opportunity to source new materials and relationships.

Got a box of beads you haven’t touched? Extra yarn or fabric from a past project? A stack of scrapbook paper that hasn’t made its way into an album? Give your old paints, buttons, stamps, florals, pencils and other arts and craft supplies a new life in someone else’s hands and walk away with new materials to inspire your next project.

If you don’t have anything to swap, the Hoyt has an abundance of leftover materials that are free to those who attend.

The event will take place on the third floor of Hoyt East. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free. Register at HoytArtCenter.org or by calling 724 652 2882. Walk-ins are welcome.
