WARREN, Ohio – “Menopause The Musical 2: Cruising Through ‘The Change’” will come to  Packard Music Hall on Nov. 4.

Tickets range from $69 to $29 (plus applicable fees) and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 27, at Ticketmaster.com and the Packard box office. Group discounts are available at MenopauseTheMusical.com. A 25% discount is available through July 7 for online sales; use the code word “sizzle.”

“Menopause The Musical 2” is the sequel to the long-running, international hit show “Menopause The Musical,” a celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of or have survived “The Change.” It takes place five years after the initial musical and includes the same cast of characters.

Comedy Show Fundraiser at Playhouse

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Sad Team Six comedy troupe will present its next show at 7 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Youngstown Playhouse. Tickets can be purchased at YoungstownPlayhouse.org.

The show will be hosted by Trevor Scott and will feature comedians Clinton James, Martin Malloy, Matt King, Steven Prince and headliner Brad Rigler.

Steel Hammerz Heathen Crew, a law enforcement motorcycle club from Niles, will take part with a motorcycle run to fire stations from 1:30-4 p.m. It will end in the parking lot of the Playhouse.

A tailgate party will take place from 4-6 p.m. in the theater’s parking lot, with food trucks and a DJ, to support first responders.

Owners of R46 Restaurant Sell Business

CANFIELD, Ohio – Patrick and Stacy Howlett, the owners of R46 restaurant in the plaza on state Route 46, just north of Canfield, have sold the restaurant, and the new owners will reopen it with a new name and concept.

The Howletts made the announcement in a Facebook post this week.

Gift cards will be honored at any Coaches Burger Bar location, as well as at The Magic Tree, which the Howletts also own.

Lecture on ‘Exploring the 1960s and 1970s’ 

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Mahoning Valley Historical Society will present “Exploring the 1960s and 1970s in the Mahoning Valley through Media” at noon Thursday, June 26, at the Tyler History Center. Admission is free. Connie Jones, project manager of the Stewart Media Archives Center, will be the presenter.

Smarts Art Auction to Benefit School

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Arts enthusiasts will have the opportunity to bid on over 100 works from local and regional artists in support of Students Motivated by the Arts (Smarts) at The Joy of Smarts on Friday, June 27. 

Tickets are $30 and available HERE ($55 for VIP admission).

This art- and music-filled celebration will honor Joy White, a visionary Smarts Circle member who founded the event in 2014. Now renamed in her memory, this adults-only night continues her legacy and supports the school’s mission to provide free, quality arts education for all.

Smarts is in the Ohio One building on East Boardman Street, downtown.

Guests will enjoy music from DJ Eric Petroleum and take in live painting demonstrations from Smarts teaching artist Willie Duck. In addition to appetizers, a cash bar will be available with wine, craft cocktails from Youngstown Whiskey Club and Tequila Aficionado, and beer from Modern Methods Brewing Co. 

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the VIP and artist reception and offer early bidding opportunities for guests. The main event will begin at 6:30 p.m. for general admission. 

Auctions will close each half hour, and a live auction will be conducted by ISLE/Purple Cat’s Jimmy Sutman before the night ends at 9:30 p.m. 

Smarts is still accepting donations of unique and original artwork for the auction.
