WARREN, Ohio – Napoleon Dynamite Live!, a special event to mark the film’s 20th anniversary, will come to Packard Music Hall on Nov. 8.
Three of the film’s stars – Jon Heder (Napoleon), Jon Gries (Uncle Rico) and Efren Ramirez (Pedro) – will be there to participate in a live conversation onstage.
The evening will begin with a screening of the movie.
The family-friendly show blends a question-and-answer session with improvisational comedy and includes audience participation.
Tickets range from $29.75 to $69.75 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster.com (fees apply) and the Packard box office. An online-only presale will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday; use the password “tots.”
McKim’s Honeyvine Winery Opens this Week
COLUMBIANA, Ohio – McKim’s Honeyvine Winery will open Tuesday at its new location, 20½ S. Main St.
Owners Mike and Ashley McKim originally opened the business in East Palestine but had to close it due to the 2024 train derailment in that city.
For its opening week celebration, McKim’s will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday.
The business will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday that week, with the official ribbon cutting at 4 p.m. April 11.
Dyngus Day Polka Party with Walter Ostanek
WARREN, Ohio – Walter Ostanek, Canada’s biggest polka star, will headline the annual Dyngus Day dance April 21 at DiLucia’s Banquet Hall, 2610 Elm Road NE.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., and music will begin at 5 p.m. with Ron Pivovar and the Curmudgeons of Greenville, Pa.

Ostanek, a three-time Grammy Award winner, will be joined onstage by Cleveland polka star Sluga, who is a guitarist, banjo player and singer.
Festival Spotlights Redemptive Films
GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College’s Lux Mea Film Festival will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 12, in the Crawford Hall auditorium.
The festival, now in its fifth year, features original short films made by Grove City College students that highlight redemptive storytelling and spiritual truths.
At its core, Lux Mea is about telling stories that shine a light on the human experience and guide viewers toward truth.
Attendees are treated to a red carpet experience, including a reception after the event in Staley Hall of Arts and Letters.
Attendance has grown from about 350 in the festival’s first year to last year’s record crowd of 900. Organizers are hoping to draw 1,000 to this year’s edition.

Drone Racing League Sets Competition
WARREN, Ohio – The Trumbull County Drone Racing League will meet for a day of competition Saturday, April 12, at the Warren G. Harding High School Wellness Center, 860 Elm Road NE.
Students from 15 Trumbull County high schools will participate.
The action will begin at 8 a.m. with the first flight of the day, as teams take to the skies in a series of drone-based challenges designed to test speed, precision and strategy. Competitions will include capture the flag, head-to-head racing and a marketing and presentation display.
Bracket tournament play will begin at noon.
The Trumbull County Drone Racing League is in its fourth year and has grown from six teams to 17.
Sunday Funday Fundraiser for Dylan’s House
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Dylan’s House, a nonprofit organization devoted to enriching the lives of autistic individuals in the Mahoning Valley, will present Sunday Funday, its largest fundraising event of the year, from 2-7 p.m. April 13 at Penguin City Brewing, 460 E. Federal St., downtown.
The event will include a performance by the band RDNA, raffle baskets, a silent auction, photobooths and more. A food truck will be at the site.
At last year’s event, more than 600 attendees helped the organization raise $145,000.
Women’s Club to Present Spring Tea
COLUMBIANA, Ohio – The Columbiana Women’s Club, which operates a century house at 121 N. Main St., will host a Spring Tea on Saturday, May 17, with seatings at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
