NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – “One Night in Memphis,” a tribute to Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash, will come to Orr Auditorium at Westminster College at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11.

The show, part of the college’s Celebrity Series, features over 90 minutes of rockabilly, country, gospel and rock ’n’ roll with a cast of former  members of the Broadway hit “Million Dollar Quartet.”

The show recreates the magical night of Dec. 4, 1956, when the four artists found themselves jamming at Sam Phillip’s Sun Studios in Memphis, Tenn. Unknown to them, their jam session was being recorded and preserved for all time, representing all the performers in the prime of their careers recording popular songs of the era.

The show is created and directed by John Mueller, the force behind the highly acclaimed “Winter Dance Party,” the official tribute to Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper’s final tour.
