Here is a closer look at the upcoming season:

  • “Ripcord,” Oct. 23-25, Oct. 31-March 1 and March 7-8: This play by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire looks in on two women who share a room at a senior living facility. With opposite personalities not conducive to living together, the two women enter into a bet that escalates from funny to dangerous. Beneath the craziness and comedy is the reminder that we are never too old to change our lives for the better.
  • “Madbury Winter,” Feb. 27-28 and March 1, March 7-8 and March 14-15. This play by Jeffrey Kinghorn is told in prose poetry. It tells the story of a New Hampshire family that leaves its ancestral home and the impact the decision has on their lives. Floating back and forth in time, the play is alternately funny and heart wrenching.
  • “Eleemosynary,” May 14-16, 22-23 and 29-30. In this play by Lee Blessing, three generations of women – a dominant but eccentric grandmother, her brilliant daughter and a sensitive, intelligent granddaughter who was raised by her grandmother – work to discover their own identities and find each other.
