A costume from the “Black Panther” film.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Four costumes from the Marvel Studios movie “Black Panther” are on display in the lobby of  Severance Hall, 11001 Euclid Ave., now through April 6, in anticipation of the Cleveland Orchestra’s “Black Panther in Concert” performances March 28 and 29.

The costumes were worn by actors Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan Danai Gurira and Angela Bassett in the 2018 film.

They were made by costume designer Ruth E. Carter, who incorporated elements from African tribes. Carter won the Academy Award for best costume design in 2019 for her work.

Conductor Anthony Parnther, known for his work on high-profile film scores including “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” will lead the Cleveland Orchestra through Ludwig Göransson’s score while the full film plays on the big screen. The performances will also feature Senegalese percussionist Massamba Diop, whose contributions to the score helped secure the film both Grammy and Oscar accolades.

Artists Can Sign Up for Page on Online Directory

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Loop Youngstown Arts & Culture Center invites area creatives to register for Linked on Loop, a directory designed to connect artists across the Mahoning and Shenango valleys.

For 2025, the resource is completely free, offering local visual artists, writers, musicians, actors, dancers and other arts practitioners and organizations the chance to showcase their work, build their online presence and expand their reach.

Sign up HERE.

Creatives can set up a personalized profile on the site, which will be shared across Loop’s social media channels. Profiles include a bio, artist statement, contact information, website/social media links and three samples of original work.

The directory will make it easy for the general public to find artists for commissions, performances or to teach classes.

“By giving artists and creatives their own dedicated page on our platform, we’re essentially providing them with a professional presence whether or not they build and maintain a separate website,” said Robyn Maas, Loop advisory council member.
