‘Thought Leaders,’ Home of the Week’ Begin Today

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Today you’ll see our revamped homepage with two new features, “Thought Leaders” and “Home of the Week.”

Thought Leaders is a video interview series that begins with publisher Andrea Wood interviewing Deryk Toles, the founder of Inspiring Minds in Warren.

Each Thought Leader is featured for four weeks on our website, with new segments appearing weekly and excerpted on the Daily Buzz. The series is sponsored by Dominion East Ohio Gas. Look for the Thought Leaders icon at the center of our homepage.

Home of the Week is sponsored by Northwood Realty Services. It features video, photos and descriptions of a home listed by one of Northwood’s agents. Look for the Home of the Week icon on the right sidebar of our home page.

You’ll also see a revamped DailyBUZZ webcast with new graphics and music that illustrate how our focus is changing to only one or two stories and only three to four minutes long.

When important news is breaking we will, of course, cover it on the Daily Buzz but on other days we are taking a lighter touch. For example, our recent features on the Hot Dog Shoppe in Girard and the folks who make Brier Hill pizza at St. Anthony’s Church generated huge responses on Facebook with more than 100,000 people viewing these videos in one week.

Such numbers are hard to ignore and viewer comments and engagement even harder. This is what you like and you told us you want to see more video stories on art, entertainment and of human interest.
