Tickets on Sale for Bremen Town Musicians

January 11, 2018

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Tickets are on sale for The Bremen Town Musicians, a one-act opera for young audiences by John Davies.

The Young Artists of Opera Western Reserve will present the opera at 3 p.m. March 11 in the Jeanne D. Tyler Grand Ballroom at Stambaugh Auditorium.

The Bremen Town Musicians was inspired by the Grimm fairy tale, where a donkey recruits three runaways (a cat, a dog, and a rooster) to form a marching band and teaches them the value of considering others’ feelings and working together.

With music adapted from Gilbert and Sullivan, Donizetti, Offenbach, Rossini, and Verdi, this entertaining and educational piece is for children of all ages.

After the show, the cast will meet and interact with the audience. The show features stage
direction by Robert Pierce.

Tickets are $7 and on sale at the Florence and Ward Beecher Box Office at
Stambaugh Auditorium, open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
