BOARDMAN, Ohio – Rayshone Phillips, president of Executive 408 Toastmasters Youngstown, secured first place at the division-level International Speech Contest in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.

The victory April 18 marks a continued winning streak for the Boardman resident, who previously took first place at the area-level competition in Kent, Ohio, in March.

Phillips now moves on to the district-level International Speech Contest, which will be held May 30 in Independence, Ohio. She will compete against winners from across the region for a chance to advance to the World Championship of Public Speaking during the Toastmasters International Convention, scheduled for Aug. 19-22 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

“I am so grateful for this moment,” Phillips said. “Each level brings stronger competition, and I’m grateful to represent my club and community. I’m excited to continue this journey and give my best at the next level.”

Phillips, owner of The Head Spa Studio and founder of RayNa Scalp Care University, where she provides advanced training for beauty professionals, has been a member of Toastmasters since 2022. As president of Executive 408 Toastmasters, she helps cultivate a supportive environment for confident speakers and emerging leaders.
