YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Anthony Trevena, executive director of the Western Reserve Port Authority, grew up in New Waterford, Ohio, and was among the first in his family to earn a college degree from Youngstown State University, later returning for a master’s degree.
He began his career at the Better Business Bureau of Mahoning Valley, working to increase engagement in Columbiana County, and has held roles in both the public and private sectors, including a run for state representative and restaurant ownership.
Trevena joined the port authority as director of economic development before becoming executive director, focusing on regional collaboration and initiatives that support the community.
