WARREN, Ohio – The Trumbull County Planning Commission will host a land use planning meeting at 6 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Liberty Township Building, 1315 Churchill-Hubbard Road.
The meeting will focus on communities in the southeastern portion of Trumbull County, including Brookfield, Hubbard, Liberty, Vienna and Yankee Lake.
The commission previously hosted a land use planning meeting in Kinsman for northeastern Trumbull County areas. The meetings are part of a countywide outreach effort where residents, local officials and community stakeholders can share their perspectives on future growth, development, preservation and land use priorities.
The countywide land use planning process is being coordinated by the planning commission and GIS Man Development on behalf of the Board of Trumbull County Commissioners and is funded through the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s Land Use Planning Grant Program.
The effort includes an analysis of existing land use, community outreach, public surveys and the development of a final action plan with recommendations based on information collected throughout the planning process. Additional public meetings will be held in other areas of Trumbull County as the process continues.
