WARREN, Ohio – The Trumbull County Planning Commission recently recognized Michael J. Robinson, senior investigator/supervisor of the Delinquent Real Estate Tax and Collection Department in the Trumbull County Treasurer’s Office, as the July recipient of the Something Good Initiative.
Through the initiative, the planning commission recognizes individuals and organizations for their contributions to the community.
Robinson was recognized for his more than 37 years of dedicated public service and lasting impact on Trumbull County.
Throughout his career, Robinson has earned the respect of colleagues and residents through his professionalism, integrity and commitment to helping taxpayers navigate difficult situations, a news release from the planning commission states. His work has focused not only on collecting delinquent taxes but also on helping families remain in their homes whenever possible by providing guidance and opportunities to resolve tax obligations.
Robinson also played a role in the creation of the Trumbull County Land Bank, working alongside former Treasurer Sam Lamancusa to establish one of Ohio’s earliest active county land banks following enabling legislation. From 2010 through 2013, he managed the land bank’s operations through the DRETAC Department before its transition to the Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership. He also authored the land bank’s original mission statement, helping establish the vision that continues to guide neighborhood stabilization and redevelopment efforts throughout the county.

Whether helping families remain in their homes or helping establish the land bank, his work has strengthened our communities for decades.”
