YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Seven self-storage and mini-warehouse operations in Trumbull County have sold for a collective $9 million to entities that show the same New York taxpayer address, according to records filed with the Trumbull County Auditor’s office.

Records show that members of the Oakes family sold seven storage locations in Bazetta, Champion, Warren, and Fowler townships to various entities on Aug. 21.

An earlier post reported that five locations had sold for $6.8 million, but the former property owner confirmed two additional sales were negotiated that brings the total to $9 million.

Champion Propco LLC purchased a storage operation at 1099 Champion St., Champion, for $825,000; 2750WM Propco LLC, purchased a second location at 2750 Warren Meadville Road in Bazetta for $960,000 from Grant Oakes III and Mary Oakes; Perkins Propco LLC acquired a Bazetta storage facility at 661 Perkins-Jones Road for $720,000 from the same sellers; 3168 Propco LLC purchased a storage location at 3168 Warren-Meadville Road, Bazetta, for $2.050 million from Grant and Mary Oakes; and King Graves Propco LLC purchased a storage and mini warehouse complex at 4255 King Graves Road in Fowler from Grant Oakes III and Mary Oakes for $2.28 million.

A sixth storage facility was purchased from the Oakes family at 4929 Parkman Road in Warren Township by Parkman Propco LLC for $360,000; while a seventh facility at 3625 Larchmont in Bazetta was sold to Larchmont Propco LLC, according to the auditor’s website. That facility sold for $1.8 million, according to auditor’s data.

Each purchasing entity gives an address of an office building based in Monsey, N.Y., for tax purposes.
