In response to a rapid surge in demand for home-delivered nutritional services, Trumbull Mobile Meals in Warren, Ohio, developed an expansion and organizational shift plan.
Under the leadership of CEO Audrey Novotny, the organization has scaled its operations to meet a client base that recently grew from 300 to a projected 500 daily recipients. This 66% growth reflects both an aging local demographic and the organization’s aggressive outreach to eliminate waiting lists across Trumbull County’s 500-square-mile service area.
To sustain this growth, TMM is remodeling and expanding its East Market Street building. The project includes a kitchen expansion, the addition of a new four-bay garage constructed on property donated by the Guarnieri family. This facility secures TMM’s shuttle vans against environmental damage and theft, ensuring fleet reliability and the parking lot will be paved to streamline the loading process.
Novotny emphasizes that the growth is not just about meal counts but social impact. For many clients, TMM drivers are their primary point of human contact and the only meal they eat that day, she says.
As the physical expansion project comes to fruition, Novotny and her team are focused on “transforming vision into reality,” she says. Donations may be made through TrumbullMobileMeals.org.
