Trumbull Planning Commission to Host Planning Meeting on YARS

WARREN, Ohio — The Trumbull County Planning Commission will host a public meeting Aug. 22 on the implementation of compatibility planning around Youngstown Air Reserve Station.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Baker Elementary School, 4095 Sheridan Ave., Vienna. 

The military installation sustainability project is in the first implementation of the YARS joint land use study completed in 2019.

The public is invited to learn about and share input on the ongoing actions to support military and community compatibility with YARS, including the overlay zoning district for surrounding communities and incorporating compatibility in community comprehensive plans.
