UAW Site Design Nets Webby for iSynergy

BOARDMAN, Ohio – iSynergy, an advertising, marketing and technology firm here, received a Webby People’s Voice Award at the 20th annual Webby Awards.

The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, recognize achievement on the internet in categories including websites, advertising and media, online film and video, mobile sites and apps, and social.

The Webby Awards received nearly 13,000 entries from all 50 states and over 70 countries worldwide this year. The Webby People’s Voice Award is given to the nominee who receives the most votes through online voting on the Webby Awards official website.

“Nominees like iSynergy are setting the standard for innovation and creativity on the Internet,” said David-Michel Davies, executive director of the Webby Awards. “It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the almost 13,000 entries we received this year.”

iSynergy was nominated for its website, UAW.org, which was redesigned last year ahead of the 2015 round of negotiations between the United Auto Workers and the Detroit 3 automakers. iSynergy redesigned the site working in conjunction with the UAW’s digital department.

“It’s a special feeling to be nominated and to win a Webby People’s Voice Award among such great competition,” said Reilly Lowery, iSynergy’s director of development. “It’s made even more special by the fact that we are the only Youngstown advertising agency to ever be nominated or win a Webby Award. I enjoy setting the pace for our area.”

“It’s been a great pleasure to work with the UAW,” said Steve Cross, iSynergy’s CEO, “And we’re so incredibly happy to have been a nominee at the 20th annual Webby Awards, and to have taken home a Webby People’s Voice Award for the UAW and iSynergy. I’m also extremely excited to be attending the awards show on May 16 in NYC to accept the award.”
