WARREN, Ohio – Unemployment rates in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties were down in February compared with January, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services reported Tuesday.

Trumbull County reported the highest rate among the three counties, with a 6.6% unemployment rate in February. That was down from 7% in January and 6.8% in February 2025.

Mahoning County’s unemployment rate in February was 6.2%, down from 6.5% in both January and February 2025.

Columbiana County’s unemployment rate in February was 5.4%, down from 5.5% in January and 6.4% in February 2025.

The unemployment rate in the city of Youngstown decreased from 8.5% in January to 7.9% in February. The rate in February 2025 was 7.4%.

The unemployment rate in the city of Warren decreased from 9.4% in January to 8.8% in February. The rate in February 2025 was 7.7%.
