WARREN, Ohio – Unemployment rates in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties were down in April compared with March, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services reported.

Trumbull County reported the highest rate among the three counties, with a 4.7% unemployment rate in April. That was down from 5.6% in March and 6.3% in April 2025.

Mahoning County’s unemployment rate in April was 4.4%, down from 5.3% in March and 5.4% in April 2025.

Columbiana County’s unemployment rate in April was 3.4%, down from 4.4% in March and 5.2% in April 2025.

The unemployment rate in the city of Youngstown decreased from 6.9% in March to 6% in April. The rate in April 2025 was 6.5%.

The unemployment rate in the city of Warren decreased from 7.7% in March to 6.6% in April. The rate in April 2025 was 8%.
