WARREN, Ohio – Unemployment rates in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties were down in March compared with February, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services reported Tuesday.

Trumbull County reported the highest rate among the three counties, with a 5.6% unemployment rate in March. That was down from 6.6% in February and 6.3% in March 2025.

Mahoning County’s unemployment rate in March was 5.3%, down from 6.2% in February and 6% in March 2025.

Columbiana County’s unemployment rate in March was 4.4%, down from 5.4% in February and 6.1% in March 2025.

The unemployment rate in the city of Youngstown decreased from 7.9% in February to 6.9% in March. The rate in March 2025 was 7%.

The unemployment rate in the city of Warren decreased from 8.8% in February to 7.7% in March. The rate in March 2025 was 7.4%.
