WARREN, Ohio – Unemployment rates in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties were flat in July compared with June, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services reported Tuesday.
Trumbull County reported the highest rate among the three counties, with a 5% unemployment rate in July, unchanged from June but down from 6.1% in July 2025.
Mahoning County’s unemployment rate in July was 4.6%, unchanged from June but down from 5.5% in July 2025.
Columbiana County’s unemployment rate in July was 3.8%, down from 3.9% in June and down from 5.2% in July 2025.
The unemployment rate in the city of Youngstown decreased from 6.5% in June to 6.3% in July. The rate in July 2025 was 7.2%.
The unemployment rate in the city of Warren increased from 7.1% in June to 7.3% in July. The rate in July 2025 was 8.3%.
