WARREN, Ohio – Unemployment rates in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties were up in June compared with May, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services reported.
Trumbull County reported the highest rate among the three counties, with a 5% unemployment rate in June. That was up from 4.1% in May but down from 6% in June 2025.
Mahoning County’s unemployment rate in June was 4.6%, up from 3.8% in May but down from 5.4% in June 2025.
Columbiana County’s unemployment rate in June was 4%, up from 3.1% in May but down from 5.2% in June 2025.
The unemployment rate in the city of Youngstown increased from 5.3% in May to 6.5% in June. The rate in June 2025 was 7.1%.
The unemployment rate in the city of Warren increased from 5.9% in May to 7.1% in June. The rate in June 2025 was 8.2%.
