‘Unmute the Uncomfortable’ Event Scheduled for Nov. 17
CHAMPION, Ohio – Coleman Health Services, in partnership with the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board, will present an “Unmute the Uncomfortable” community dialogue Nov. 17 at Kent State University at Trumbull.
Topics will include Unmuting the Misconception Around Critical Race Theory; Preventing Suicide among Black Youth; Culturally Responsive Leadership; and DEI Beyond 2023.
The Mental Health and Recovery Board of Portage County, the County of Summit ADM Board and the Trumbull- Mahoning DEI Collaborative are also supporting the event, which runs from 7:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
The cost is $25 per person and includes a continental breakfast and a resource fair. Three continuing education units are available for social workers, counselors and nurses.
