WARREN, Ohio – The Greater Warren-Youngstown Urban League announced the nominees for the 2025 Legacy Award.
This year’s Legacy Award honors individuals who have made an impact on the Mahoning Valley through service, advocacy and a commitment to unity and community uplift.
The 2025 Legacy Award nominees are:
- Kevin Stringer, Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership.
- Dr. Mark Jackson, pastor, The Light Church.
- Jaladah Aslam, president, Youngstown-Warren Black Caucus.
- Dr. Tonia Farmer, otolaryngologist, traveling surgeon, entrepreneur and speaker.
- Kelan Bilal, owner, Excalibur Grooming Lounge.
- Rev. Kenneth Simon, pastor, New Bethel Baptist Church.
- Rev. Todd Johnson, Warren city councilman and pastor, Second Baptist Church.
- David “Sonny” Morgan, advocate for underserved community groups.
- Paulette Edington, founder, TriYounity LLC and TriYou Cares.
- Julie Sole, director of capital expenditures, Valorec North America.
- Clemate Franklin, director, Youngstown Parks and Recreation.
- Nia Hall, director of operations, The Workshop (Mahoning and Trumbull counties).
- Dr. Rudy Braydich, co-owner, Braydich Dental.
- Sterling Williams, president and CEO, Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
- Regina Callion, owner, Safe Nurse Now Staffing LLC.
The winner of the 2025 Legacy Award will be announced at the organization’s 95th Anniversary Gala beginning at 6 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Eastwood Event Centre in Niles.
