CAMPBELL, Ohio – Debórah Benton and Russell Thompkins Jr. of famed R&B act The Stylistics will host the first “Valley Gold” Christmas music show Nov. 11 at Collingwood Center, 633 Porter Ave.
The show will start at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a reception.
Benton, of the Youngstown area, is the host of the “Valley Gold with Debórah” television show.
The Christmas show will include multiple artists, including tribute acts, urban ballroom dancers and local celebrities and musicians.
The public is invited and is asked to dress in formal attire. Tickets are on sale at Eventbrite.com as well as in person at Collingwood Center.
The show will be videotaped and broadcast on local television stations Fox Youngstown and MyYTV at 8 p.m. Christmas evening.
“We’re having a number of really great singers from this area” and elsewhere in Ohio, Benton said.
The list includes Half Mile Home, cellist Andrew Brundidge, Blaq Rose, Kenneth Donaldson, Toby Walker, the Urban Ballroom Dancers and the Motown Tribute Group.
“Valley Gold with Debórah” is a weekly family-friendly, talk-variety television show that has been on the air in the Mahoning Valley since 2005. The show, which has attracted many celebrities, airs at 7:30 a.m. Mondays on MyYTV and can be streamed on demand at DeborahIsTheShow.com.
In addition to the show, Benton is also a vocalist who has a Dionne Warwick tribute show.
