YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Valley Partners will host its 11th annual Golf Outing on Friday at Knoll Run Golf Course in Lowellville.

Proceeds from the outing, which will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start, will help strengthen Valley Partners’ efforts to provide small business lending opportunities to emerging and underserved entrepreneurs and businesses, a news release states.

“Access to capital can make a tremendous difference for entrepreneurs who are working to build their businesses and create opportunities in our communities,” said Teresa Miller, executive director of Valley Partners. “The support generated through our golf outing allows us to continue expanding our efforts to connect underserved entrepreneurs and small businesses with the financing they need.”

The event will also provide an opportunity to help local children through the Rotary Club of Youngstown’s Operation Warm campaign. Running through November, the campaign provides new winter coats to children in the Youngstown City School District. Proceeds from the outing’s 50/50 raffle will go toward purchasing coats for local children.

“As a small business owner, I’ve experienced firsthand how Valley Partners invests in local small businesses and helps them grow, so it means a lot to now partner with them in my role as president of Youngstown Rotary,” said Ellie Platt, owner of Platt Insurance. “Supporting Operation Warm through the golf outing is another way that investment in our community can make a meaningful difference.”

While registration for teams has closed, those interested in sponsoring the golf outing can visit Valley Partners’ website. Sponsorship benefits include name and logo placement at a designated hole, recognition in the event program and dinner for four people.

More information about Operation Warm’s efforts is available on the Rotary Club of Youngstown’s website.
