YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Valley Partners is inviting both women and men to its second-annual Women’s LeadHERship Summit on March 20.
The event, which will be held from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Eastwood Event Centre, celebrates female leaders in the Mahoning Valley for National Women’s History Month.
The evening will include dinner, a panel discussion, keynote speaker, live entertainment and networking opportunities.
“The Women’s LeadHERship Summit is more than just an event – it’s a movement that appreciates, celebrates and uplifts the incredible women leading the way in our community,” said Matthew Longmire, business resource advisor for Valley Partners. “In honor of Women’s History Month, we invite all members of the community to join us – including men, who are strongly encouraged to attend – for an inspiring evening of connection and celebration. Together, we will recognize the profound impact that the women of the Valley are making in our region and beyond.”
Dr. Tonia L. Farmer, a board-certified otolaryngology/head and neck surgeon with 23 years of experience in private practice, will be the keynote speaker at this year’s event. Farmer has a column in the Buckeye Review titled Dr. Nose Best and is an on-air medical expert for 21 WFMJ News. She has a social media presence of more than 750,000 followers across multiple platforms.
Farmer, who encourages others to be intentionally informed and inspires them to be their best health advocate, said she is looking forward to empowering the attendees at this year’s event.
“I am beyond excited to serve as the keynote speaker for the 2025 Valley Partners LeadHERship Summit,” Farmer said. “Leadership is about seizing opportunities, embracing challenges and creating lasting impact that drives impactful change. I can’t wait to share my LeadHERship story that I hope will inspire action.”
The event offers free registration to the public, made possible by sponsors. This year’s title sponsor is The Cafaro Foundation.
“So many talented women have created the institutional framework of our region and continue to provide it with its creative life-blood,” said Joe Bell, Cafaro Co. spokesman. “The Cafaro Foundation is delighted to celebrate their legacy.”
