YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Vallourec will invest $48 million in a new threading line at its seamless pipe mill along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, a project company officials say reflects its long-term commitment to the Mahoning Valley.

The expansion, announced Monday, is expected to create 40 full-time jobs and be operational by early 2027. Vallourec, a French-based manufacturer of oil country tubular goods, employs about 1,000 people at its Youngstown campus.

Gov. Mike DeWine joined company and community leaders at the groundbreaking, calling the project a sign of continued confidence in Ohio’s manufacturing sector. The new line will use advanced automation and robotics to produce threaded connections for the oil and gas industry.
