Varis Vein Institute, an accredited vascular lab and provider of comprehensive treatment for varicose and venous abnormalities, continued its steady growth in 2025 with the addition of a new treatment center on South Avenue in Boardman.

The expansion strengthens the organization’s commitment to accessible, high‑quality vascular care for patients throughout the Mahoning and Shenango valleys and beyond, Dr. Mehrdad Zarrinmakan, vascular and thoracic surgeon, says.

For more than two decades, Varis Vein Institute has focused on improving patient well‑being through advanced diagnostics, minimally invasive treatment options, and a compassionate, patient‑first approach, he says. The institute’s continued growth reflects both rising demand for specialized vein care and the organization’s reputation for clinical excellence.

Varis Vein Institute has also expanded its clinical team, welcoming additional ultrasound technicians trained to identify varicose veins and venous abnormalities that commonly cause leg swelling, discomfort and reduced mobility. “These highly skilled technicians play a critical role in early detection and effective treatment planning,” he says.

With locations in Boardman, Howland and Hermitage, Varis Vein Institute offers patients easier access to diagnosis, consultation and treatment.

“As we’ve steadily grown, our mission remains the same: to provide exceptional vascular care that improves quality of life for every patient we serve,” Zarrinmakan says. “Our new Boardman center allows us to reach more individuals who may be struggling with vein disease but haven’t yet sought treatment.”
