NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Visit Lawrence County recently announced the appointment of Ginny Jacob Colella as executive director, effective June 1.
Colella has served as assistant director of Visit Lawrence County for the past 12 years. Over the past several years, she has been transitioning into her new leadership role, working closely with her predecessor, Janet Falotico, to ensure a seamless continuation of the organization’s mission and vision.
“Throughout her tenure, Ginny has consistently demonstrated the leadership, dedication and expertise needed to guide Visit Lawrence County into the future,” a news release from the organization states. “Her passion for the people, businesses, communities and opportunities that make Lawrence County special is evident in everything she does. She has long been a champion for Lawrence County, tirelessly promoting its attractions, supporting local businesses and creating meaningful connections that strengthen our tourism industry.”
Colella has a degree in corporate communication from Carlow University, a certificate in nonprofit management from Butler County Community College and a certificate in leadership and community development from the University of Georgia J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development.
She is a member of the Steering Committee for the city of New Castle, a board member of Citywide Development Corp. and Lawrence County Drug & Alcohol, an America250PA county adviser and media chair of the Mid-Atlantic Tourism Public Relations Alliance.
Colella’s past recognitions include Young Professional of Lawrence County 5 Under 40 and Whirl Magazines 20 in Their 20’s.
