Walnut Grove’s ‘Swing, Wine, & Dine’ Fundraiser Set for Feb. 17
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Walnut Grove is hosting its second annual fundraiser, “Swing, Wine, & Dine” from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 17 at the Maronite Center, 1555 S. Meridian Road.
The Walnut Grove will be a special needs accessible playground in Canfield envisioned by a group of community members that started the Walnut Grove nonprofit organization in 2014.
Last year’s inaugural Swing, Wine, & Dine raised over $15,000. The proceeds from the event helped to install accessible nature trails that connect to the Mill Creek MetroParks bike trail, a parking lot and the first phase of the accessible playground.
The fundraiser will feature food from the Blue Wolf Tavern and wine from McKim’s Honeyvine & Winery. This year, guests will have the opportunity to take their chance on raffle baskets and place bids in an auction for prizes.
The goal for 2018 is to double the amount of attendees from last years Swing, Wine, & Dine.
Ticket prices are $50 per ticket or $500 for a reserved table of eight.
