Warehouse Sales, Sharon, Chris Higbee

SHARON, Pa. – Warehouse Sales is bringing back its Rockin on the Rails concert event to celebrate its 25th anniversary year under the ownership of Mike and  Sonja Lisac.

The free concert, featuring country artist Chris Higbee, with Kevin Dale and Mike Kovach, will take place Saturday, Aug. 30, behind the store at 200 Silver St., downtown.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Kovach will take the stage at 4:30 p.m., followed by Dale at 5 p.m. Higbee’s performance will begin at 7 p.m.

The event will include 25 prize giveaways, including a Spark 4 golf cart valued at $13,500. Other prizes include Coleman griddles, a mini-refrigerator, a shop vacuum, a tent, a tool kit, and more.

Everyone attending the concert will get a ticket to win one of the 25 prizes but customers can earn more tickets before then by making a $10 purchase at the store. Only one ticket per day can be earned, and purchasers must be 18 or older.

Food and drink from Quaker Steak & Lube, Haitian Sensation, The Block and Allie’s Sweet Tooth will be available to purchase at the concert. “So many of these local businesses have supported us so it makes sense for us to support them,” said Lisac.

Warehouse Sales was started 74 years ago, with the Lisacs taking ownership in 2000. “We really appreciate our customers that have helped us remain successful in our business for 25 years and wanted to do something special to celebrate with them,” said Mike Lisac.

On Monday, Sept. 1, Lisac will be honored as a Buhl Day honoree. The event recognizes residents who exemplify the values of industrialist Frank Buhl and his wife, Julia.
