WARREN, Ohio – The city of Warren has again received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Financial Officers Association of the United States and Canada.
According to Vince Flask, city auditor, the award honors the finance department’s annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2024.
Judged by an impartial panel to meet the program’s standards, the certificate of achievement goes to those demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure,” which communicates the government entity’s financial story and motivates potential users and user groups to read the report.
Flask said the award goes back decades for the department.
“There is a long streak of pride and dedication within the finance department,” Flask said. “We are a well-rounded team, and we go to great lengths to make sure things are correct while working for our citizens.”
