WARREN, Ohio – Warren-Trumbull County Public Library patrons will soon have access to all their favorite library materials, services and programs at a new branch that will open inside Eastwood Mall in Niles.
“The Eastwood Mall Complex is a thriving community destination with shopping, restaurants and entertainment options,” said Jim Wilkins, W-TCPL executive director. “This is a wonderful opportunity to provide library services and support to the people who regularly shop, visit and work there.”
The Eastwood Mall Library, which is tentatively scheduled to open Sept. 2, will be located in a 2,500-square-foot storefront in the JCPenney concourse, near the children’s indoor play area and across from Mercy Health St. Joe’s at the Mall.
“We wholeheartedly believe that a vibrant local library is vital to any community,” said Joe Bell, director of corporate communications for Cafaro Co. “That’s why we are thrilled to provide a home for a branch of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library inside Eastwood Mall. It joins the growing, diverse lineup of amenities for the many people who visit us every day.”
Wilkins said the new branch reflects the W-TCPL’s continued commitment to serving Trumbull County residents by providing innovative, community-focused services in a strategic way.
“This new location will help us expand library access for even more members of our community in a dynamic and accessible setting,” he said. “We are excited to bring the library into this popular community hub.”
A ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration will be held in early September, with special events and giveaways planned throughout the month.
The W-TCPL system includes branches in Brookfield, Cortland, Howland, Liberty and Warren, as well as mobile library services and outreach services.
