WARREN, Ohio – Alicia Evans has joined the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library system as mobile library services manager.

In her new position, Evans will work with the mobile library services team to provide service to library patrons who cannot easily access a brick-and-mortar library. The MLS services include a robust Bookmobile schedule of 27 individual stops throughout Trumbull County and Library-By-Mail service for homebound patrons.

Evans was most recently adult services supervisor for Burton Public Library. Previously, she was the manager of mobile services for Geauga County Public Library and has worked in children’s services for several years at various libraries in Ohio, Arkansas, Tennessee and Indiana.

“I have worked in rural and city libraries with a variety of populations, and I’m really looking forward to getting to better know our patrons in Trumbull County,” Evans said. “I’ve been out to some of the Bookmobile stops already, and our patrons are so welcoming and kind. Connecting with underserved populations fosters strong, meaningful relationships between the library and our community.”

Evans earned her Master of Library Science degree and Management Information Systems degree with a specialization in children’s and youth services from Indiana University. She has a master’s degree in children’s literature from Kansas State University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Kent State University.

Evans replaces Sarah Everly.
