CANFIELD, Ohio – The roundtable on revitalizing the Mahoning River was conducted Feb. 25 at the Courtyard by Marriott, Canfield. Six panelists reviewed the river’s progress to date and its outlook for the future.
Participating were Justin Mondok, director of planning for the Eastgate Council of Governments; Gavin Switzer, chairman of the board of Friends of the Mahoning River; Stephanie Gilchrist, director of economic development for the city of Youngstown; Catherine Cercone Miller, mayor of Struthers; Sarah Lown, public finance manager of the Western Reserve Port Authority; and Katie Phillips, project manager at the Youngstown office of MS Consultants.
