SHARON, Pa. – WaterFire Sharon will host its final event of the year Saturday, and organizers are seeking volunteers.

The family-friendly event, which will begin at 2 p.m., includes an artisan market, music on a stage in the food court, a children’s area and river entertainment that begins at dusk.

Organizers are looking for volunteers Saturday morning to build bonfires on the Shenango River, assist artist vendors with setup and monitor traffic entering the venue area. Four to six experienced kayakers are also needed.

“I volunteer for WaterFire Sharon because it is a chance to do something different that I cannot do anywhere else, with a wonderful group of people that you cannot find anywhere else, in a wonderful town that you cannot find anywhere else,” said Joe McLaughlin of Sharon.
