Wayne Door, based in Sugarcreek Ohio, celebrated one full year at its 1096 Meridian Road, Austintown, location as the company focuses on its strategic expansion across the Buckeye State.
The company, which employs 130 people, opened its local operations in late 2024 to support increasing demand for commercial/industrial door and access solutions in the region, according to marketing director Jess Smith.
“All our team members live in the communities we serve, allowing us to stay closely connected to local businesses and institutions,” Smith says. “This allows our team to better understand how we can support access control systems, automatic doors, commercial pass doors and integrated security needs while strengthening long-term partnerships throughout the region.”
Wayne Door, established in 1973, provides residential, commercial and industrial door sales, including garage doors, entry doors, loading dock equipment, high-speed doors, glass services, access and security solutions and ongoing service and maintenance.
The company has experienced growth and momentum over the last two years, Smith notes.
Wayne Door last year opened its new headquarters and design center in Sugarcreek, Smith says. This facility includes a center focused on hands-on training, troubleshooting and advancing product knowledge.
Overhead Door Co. of Akron, a division of Wayne Door, moved into its new facility last year, she says.
In addition to new facilities, growth during this period included expansion across Wayne Door’s divisions.
For example, the company added a new division through the acquisition of Miceli Glass, which expanded capabilities in storefront glass installation and services, Smith says. The company also added employees across its operations.
Wayne Door also supports area trade schools, 4-H programs, local events and community partnerships throughout the region.
“Looking ahead to 2026, we will continue focusing on strategic growth, operational efficiency, and team development as we strengthen existing markets and support continued expansion in newer service areas,” Smith says.
