COLUMBIANA, Ohio – Wayne Homes has donated $14,000 to Columbiana Project Playground, an initiative dedicated to building an all-inclusive, modern playground at Firestone Park for local children and families.
The new playground will offer an inclusive experience where everyone can play, learn and grow, no matter their ability. The playground will feature accessible equipment, sensory-friendly spaces and design elements that promote inclusion, safety and community engagement.
“Having the support of Wayne Homes means so much to our organization because they are directly connected to the growth we are seeing throughout our community,” said Michaela Good of Columbiana Project Playground. “Families like mine have chosen Columbiana as the place they want to call home, and Wayne Homes has been part of helping make that possible. To see them turn around and invest in a space that those same families and their children will enjoy for years to come is incredibly meaningful.”
Wayne Homes’ commitment extends beyond its $14,000 contribution to the playground project. The company has also signed on as a Platinum Sponsor of the Columbiana Project Playground grand opening, helping the organization prepare for a community-wide celebration when the playground officially opens.
“We continue to be overwhelmed by the businesses that aren’t simply writing a check but are truly becoming partners in this project,” Good said. “Wayne Homes is a wonderful example of that. Their support of both the playground and our grand opening shows their commitment to the families who live here today and those who will call Columbiana home in the future.”
Columbiana Project Playground is still currently seeking additional businesses and organizations interested in sponsoring the upcoming grand opening. To learn more, visit PlayAtFirestone.com.
