Indigo Family Theater will present the forever-young musical hit “Godspell” at Columbiana Arts Theatre.
Performances will take place at 7 p.m. tonight, Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
“Godspell” is a joyful and energetic musical that relates the life of Jesus through the writing of the Gospel of Matthew. But it does it with contemporary flair and some timeless songs, including “Day by Day.”

The theater is at 5 N. Main St., on the traffic circle in downtown Columbiana.
Food Trucks Galore
A caravan of food trucks will be camped out in Penguin City Brewing’s parking lot this weekend.
More than 15 will be on hand for the inaugural Foodie Fest, which will also feature a couple of great bands – and a boxing card.
RDNA will perform in the brewery’s taproom from 9 p.m. to midnight Saturday. The Infidels will be there from 5-7 p.m. Sunday.
The cover charge is $5 to go inside to see the bands.
The boxing card, presented by Jack Loew’s Southside Boxing, will start at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Penguin City Live venue. Admission is $25 ($50 for ringside. Call 330 501 5713 to purchase in advance. Fifteen amateur bouts are scheduled.
The lineup of food trucks is so classic you might think you’re walking through the Canfield Fair.
It will include Rutana’s Apple Dumplings, Jenny’s Steak Hoagies, Wok on the Wild Side, Tra’s Gourmet Sandwiches, Armida’s Cucina, Girardi Express, Steve Lisko’s corn dogs, boardwalk fries and more, Molnar’s Cinnamon Rolls, Antone’s, Outtabacker Concessions, Rimedio’s Bakery, El Vallarta, Red Rican, Hornyak’s ice cream, Boujee Bites and Vlahos Gyros.
Penguin City will also have its beer truck outdoors.
And the Suzie’s Dogs truck will be open on the inside of the taproom, as always.
Tra Eley (of Tra’s Gourmet Sandwiches) and Steve Lisko (whose family is a veteran of the concession stand industry) have teamed up to present Foodie Fest.
Redhead Fest
Another outdoor festival will take place Saturday in downtown Warren.
Redhead Fest will start at noon and run through the evening. The bar intends to make it an annual event.
The festival will feature DJs all afternoon, a set by Beastie Boys tribute act Imposters in Effect at 5 p.m. and DJ Marcus Aurelius afterward to close out the night.
Admission is free.
There will also be vendors, a character artist and giveaways.
Redheads make up less than 2% of the population, according to the fest’s website, and that at least partially explains the reason for this event: It’s rare and special.
There will be a costume contest in which folks can dress as their favorite redhead of all time. Prizes will go to the winner.
Project Mayhem
Boardman High School’s always dazzling Project Mayhem rock concert will take place at Spartan Stadium, 7777 Glenwood Ave., behind the school, at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
The show features a full cast of extremely talented students performing rock classics with full lighting and visual effects. Admission is $10 at the gate.
The high-energy outdoor performance has become a signature event for the area, and it’s getting noticed across the country. Boardman Local Schools was recently awarded a Communities for Music Education 2026 designation.

The concert always attracts thousands of attendees, and this year’s Mayhem cast has an extra dose of excitement coming its way.
Two members of the Grammy Award-winning Zac Brown Band will visit Boardman High School next week to meet and perform with the students. It’s not a public event, but the special visit will give students a chance to interact with professional touring musicians and learn more about the business.
