The Tano Jones Revelry will make its Youngstown debut this Friday at Brad’s Savage Birthday Bash at Westside Bowl.
The show – supported by The Summit FM radio station of Akron (90.7 FM in the Mahoning Valley) – will celebrate the birthday of Brad Savage, the station’s program director and drive-home DJ.
Doors will open at 7 p.m., with music starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
Savage – whose always-excited delivery style has become the voice of The Summit – will emcee the event.
Also in the lineup are The Shootouts, Akron’s Americana-country aces; Rolling Boxcar International and Bad Hooks.
The Detroit-based Tano Jones Revelry has been an airwave favorite on The Summit and other stations across the country.
Its “Spinning North” album (2024), which has garnered 40 million streams, includes the singles “What About Me,” “Daisy” and “Light It.”
In its press materials, the band describes “What About Me” as an anthem for anyone who has pushed through tough times and is searching for hope, strength and inspiration to keep moving forward.
The song was ranked No. 40 on The Summit’s top songs of 2025 list.
The Savage One himself has grown attached to the Revelry’s upbeat spirit.
“I’ve been really enjoying the positive grooves and vibe of Tano Jones Revelry,” Savage said. “This is an on-the-rise band that needs to be heard. I think they have a great future, and we’re happy to support them and I’m thrilled that they will be performing at my Birthday Bash.”

Down-Home Comedy
Daniel Lawrence Whitney – better known as comedian Larry the Cable Guy – is coming back to the Valley this weekend for another performance.
The comedian with a catchphrase will complete the task – I mean git-r-done – at 8 p.m. Saturday at Packard Music Hall in Warren.

Plethora of Pizza
When you talk about pizza shops in the Mahoning Valley, almost everyone has a favorite.
But those who don’t might find the slice of their dreams at Columbiana Pizza Fest this Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the Vineyards at Pine Lake, 14101 Market St. (state Route 7), near Columbiana.
Eleven purveyors from Mahoning and Columbiana counties will dish up sample-size slices at the event.
The majority of the pizza shops are from the Youngstown area: Risi (Canfield); Red Plum, Bruno Bros., Bomb City Pizza Co. and Ianazone’s (Boardman); North Lima Pizza Joe’s; and Pizza Boy (Poland). Also represented will be the venerable Mary’s Pizza (Lisbon) and R’s Pizza, The Vineyards at Pine Lake and Belleria (Columbiana).
Admission is $25 ($10 for kids 10 and under) at the door and includes 10 tickets, each good for one slice. If you’re still hungry after 10 slices, additional slice tickets can be purchased at the event.
Discounted presale admission tickets ($20) can be purchased HERE until midnight Friday.
The event will also have a cash bar.
