The second half of summer is here, bringing with it a familiar lineup of outdoor events.

The River Rock at the Amp concerts are always a great option for outdoor entertainment. Chris Higbee will headline Saturday’s show, and fans should not be surprised to see him fiddling on the roof of downtown Warren’s amphitheater.

The River Rock series always draws a huge crowd to the venue, which is better than ever this year because of the addition of permanent bathroom structures and a paved food truck area. Admission is $10. Music will start at 5:30 p.m. with Northern Whiskey.

The annual Wrestling Under the Stars show at Eastwood Field in Niles will return Saturday with a lineup that looks like a senior circuit hall of fame banquet.

The big-name talent from years gone by includes the always imposing Kane, who is now the mayor of Knox County, Tenn. I guess counties in Tennessee have mayors.

Kane will not be wrestling but will take part in a pre-show meet and greet.

Also scheduled to show up are Arn Anderson, Scott “Big Poppa Pump” Steiner and MVP.

The card for the 7:30 p.m. event includes some familiar names such as Matt Riddle, Shelton Benjamin, Maria Kanellis, Isla Dawn, Matt Taven and Wrecking Ball Legursky.

Tickets range from $110 to $25 and are on sale HERE.

Tickets will also be sold at the box office before the show.

The Mount Carmel Society Italian Festival will run through Saturday on the west side of Lowellville, with morra, bocce, food, games, music and the bizarre Baby Doll dance capping the festivities at about 10 p.m. tonight and Friday.
