WHEELING, W.Va. – WesBanco Inc. announced a net income of $202.6 million in 2025, the same year it acquired Premier Financial Corp.
Total assets increased by 48.2% over the year to $27.7 billion, including $19.2 billion in total portfolio loans and $4.5 billion in total securities
The fourth quarter report ending Dec. 31, 2025, included total deposits increasing by 7.2% annualized from the third quarter, driven by demand and money market deposits.
Total deposits increased by 53.3% year-over-year to $21.7 billion, reflecting $6.9 billion attributable to the Premier acquisition and 4.7% of organic growth.
Total loans increased 6.2% annualized from the third quarter despite about $415 million in commercial real estate payoffs for the quarter and $905 million for the year.
Total loans increased by 51.9% year-over-year to $19.2 billion, including $5.9 billion in loans from Premier.
The net interest margin of 3.61% increased 58 basis points year-over-year and 8 basis points quarter-over-quarter.
WesBanco reported an efficiency ratio of 51.6%, an improvement of more than 8 percentage points year-over-year.
WesBanco also announced 27 locations were closed Jan. 23 as part of the successful execution of the bank’s financial center optimization strategy.
