STRUTHERS, Ohio – Window Depot Penn-Ohio and Home Team Home Improvements donated $103,250 of unused inventory to Habitat for Humanity of the Mahoning Valley.
The donation will support Habitat for Humanity’s mission and impact home builds in the Valley in 2026 and 2027, a news release states.
David Redig, Habitat for Humanity executive director, said windows, doors and siding donated by Window Depot will support the organization’s mission financially, with many of the items being sold to the public at Habitat for Humanity ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road.
Some window and door products will also be used in Habitat for Humanity’s current home build in Warren. Window Depot’s employees, many of them experienced home remodelers, will volunteer on the construction at the Warren site.
Meghan Williams, ReStore manager, and volunteers from Habitat for Humanity collected the items from the Window Depot warehouse in Austintown. The donation, the company’s second in two years, is part of an ongoing partnership with Habitat for Humanity locally.
Richard Begalla, owner and president of Window Depot Penn-Ohio, said he believes Habitat for Humanity’s mission aligns with the core values of his own company.
“Habitat’s goal is to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live,” Begalla said. “We help people transform their living space every day, and we also want to be good stewards of our community. I can think of no better partnership to advance those goals.”
